One of the worst aspects of osCommerce is the backend admin side.  The first time you have to add attributes to an osCommerce store you realize what a truly poor system it really is.

There aren't as many contributions out there for the backend as for the main part of the site because developers like to work on what user's see.  None the less there are a lot of really good backend contributions that can make osCommerce's backend much more user friendly.
